Hi, I'm Kai. Welcome to my website!
I'm a document designer, web designer/coder, résumé writer and copy editor.
I create simple, clean projects that highlight the information being presented. I strive to make my work – be it design, editing or writing – clear, concise and accurate. I'm excited by the process of taking a "close, but not quite" draft and molding it into a flawless finished product. I love finding just the right way to express a thought. However, I want my work to be accessible to everyone, so I avoid using unnecessarily complicated language or design.
I'm pretty much willing to work on any kind of project, especially if I haven't done it before and can learn something from it. I simply love this type of work and am willing to work within any budget.

Born and raised in Hawaii (Wahiawa, then Hilo). Moved to Washington, D.C. to attend the George Washington University. Majored in English, with minors in journalism and Japanese. Taught English for one year on the J.E.T. Programme in Hiroshima-ken, Japan. Moved back to the U.S., to San Francisco. Currently reside in Sacramento.
In my rare-but-cherished free time, I love to dance (from ballet to hip-hop to hula, I love it all), travel, read and drink Champagne.
